The Process

Eleven stages, in order, with nothing skipped.

Grant applications fail on foundations far more often than on writing. This process establishes the foundation first, then decides whether writing is worth your money.

  1. Stage 01

    Inquiry

You tell us you are considering grant funding. Nothing is committed at this point.

  2. Stage 02

    Structured Intake

You complete a guided intake covering your organization, governance, financial position, project, budget and documentation. Every question exists because a funder or reviewer will eventually ask it.

  3. Stage 03

    Processing Fee

A one-time processing fee is acknowledged at submission. It covers the administrative work of intake review, qualification and readiness analysis.

  4. Stage 04

    Qualification Review

We confirm whether your organization is positioned to pursue the type of funding you are considering, and whether the timeline is workable.

  5. Stage 05

    Readiness Review

Your registrations, governance documents, financial records, budget and organizational capacity are assessed item by item against what funders expect.

  6. Stage 06

    Opportunity Review

If you have identified an opportunity, we review its fit. If you have not, we discuss the categories of funding that align with your work.

  7. Stage 07

    Gap Identification

You receive a plain, specific list of what is missing or unresolved — and what must be corrected before an application can be credible.

  8. Stage 08

    Consultation

We walk through the findings together, including anything that suggests waiting for a later cycle.

  9. Stage 09

    Proposal

If the work makes sense, you receive a written scope with defined deliverables and professional fees.

  10. Stage 10

    Engagement

Work begins only after a signed agreement. Nothing is assumed from the intake alone.

  11. Stage 11

    Grant Development

Narrative, budget, attachments and submission-ready materials are developed on the agreed scope.

What the process does not do

  • It does not guarantee eligibility, submission, award or funding.
  • It does not create a grant-writing engagement. That requires a separate signed agreement.
  • It does not commit you to any third-party cost. Application, registration, audit and filing costs are yours to approve, in advance, in writing.

The one-time processing fee is currently $195. See Fees & Costs for the full disclosure.
